Treatment for M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis)
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) is a complex condition marked by extreme fatigue, often accompanied by symptoms like muscle and joint pain, headaches, cognitive difficulties, and temperature regulation issues. These symptoms can make everyday tasks challenging, and managing M.E. often requires a multi-faceted approach.
In my practice, I’ve helped many people with M.E. find relief using two gentle, non-invasive therapies: Reiki and Bowen Therapy. Both therapies are particularly effective for M.E. due to their ability to address both physical discomfort and energetic imbalances, which are often at the root of the condition’s symptoms.
Bowen Therapy involves gentle pressure applied to specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system and promote healing. For people with M.E., Bowen Therapy can reduce muscle and joint pain, improve circulation, and promote relaxation, helping to alleviate fatigue and stiffness without overwhelming the body. It’s especially helpful for restoring balance and easing the physical symptoms that come with M.E.
Reiki, on the other hand, works by balancing the body’s energy. It’s a calming practice that involves channeling healing energy to clear blockages and restore harmony. Many people with M.E. find relief from stress and emotional fatigue through Reiki, which can also help improve sleep and reduce mental fatigue, common challenges of the condition.
By combining Bowen Therapy and Reiki, I offer a holistic approach that addresses both physical and energetic aspects of M.E. This combination can bring significant relief, helping clients feel more balanced, relaxed, and better able to manage their symptoms.
